Click HereApplications for Droichead 2023.2024 are now being accepted by the Teaching Council. Newly Qualified Teachers (NQTs) can log in to My Registration where they can now apply to commence the Droichead process.
Primary NQTs employed on a job-sharing contract for the full academic year or on a part-time contract of 12.5 hours minimum per week for the full academic year are eligible for Droichead 2023.2024. The closing date for applications is 30th September 2023.
When NQTs apply for Droichead they will receive a confirmation email from the Teaching Council. This email will include a link to the central administration hub where NQTs must register prior to registering for Cluster Meeting 1 (CM 1) in their chosen Education Support Centre (ESC).
NQTs will find specific dates and times of CM 1 on their chosen education support centre’s website. NQTs should be assured that there will be adequate provision of cluster meetings to meet the demand each term.

...To support NQTs' professional learning, a suite of online workshops is available here. The suite consists of 6 Primary workshops; 7 Post-primary workshops and 3 Cross-sectoral induction workshops. Although not a requirement of the Droichead process, many NQTs use them as an Additional Professional Learning Activity.
