This summer course is designed to provide participants with the knowledge and skills required to be effective Professional Support Team (PST) members to support and guide newly qualified teachers (NQTs) through the induction process.
The course will run from Monday July 2nd to Friday July 6th 2018.
NIPT will provide a professional development day (PD Day) for all Droichead schools who trained before June 2017. Find out more about the practical implications of the Teaching Council’s new Droichead Policy for your PST. These PD days will run in selected locations nationwide during Term 2 and Term 3.

The aim of the research will be to provide an insight into the profile of the schools engaging in Droichead and the PST members. To examine the elements of the NIPT training and support which has an impact on the teachers practice and best supports their role, to investigate the benefits and challenges encountered in their role as PST members and to highlight to what extent engaging in the Droichead process is changing the school culture.
Please note that Droichead registration must be submitted to the Teaching Council to commence the Droichead process. 16 March 2018 is the last day to register to commence Droichead in the 2017/2018 school year.
